2016

June 7 – TC Transcontinental again ranked by Corporate Knights as one of the Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada in its annual ranking measuring corporate responsibility according to social, environmental and governance performance.

May 5 - TC Transcontinental ranks fourth in Canopy's Blueline Report Spring 2016 update. This report ranks major North American printers on Forest Sourcing and Sustainability Performance.

May 12 – Two TC Transcontinental's plants shine at the Gala Gutenberg. Transcontinental Transmag won the Technical Award in the Newspaper Publishing category and the Innovation Award in the Publishing category, while Transcontinental Ross Ellis won the Innovation Award in the Packaging category.

May 11 – Transcontinental Inc.'s Chair of the Board of Directors, Isabelle Marcoux, was presented with the Medal of the National Assembly, an initiative aimed at paying homage to eight exceptional women.
May 17 - TC Transcontinental won the Mercure award in the "Business Transfer" category at the Mercuriades competition, organized by the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ). This Mercure award recognizes a company that has successfully transferred powers while securing its future through a development or growth plan.
March 8 - Transcontinental Qualimax in the Outaouais region received the prize in the Innovation category for its effective and ingenious solution to help eliminate the risk of workplace accidents among its employees from the Commission des normes, de l'équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST).

 

2015

October 31 – Rémi Marcoux, Transcontinental inc. founder and board member, was made a member of the Ordre des Hebdos by the weekly newspaper association Hebdos Québec which celebrates excellence in independent local newspapers.
June 3 - TC Transcontinental again ranked by Corporate Knights as one of the Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada in its annual ranking measuring corporate responsibility according to social, environmental and governance performance.
April 24 – Transcontinental Qualimax won the top 2015 Graphiprevention award from the Joint Association for Occupational Health and Safety, printing and related sectors for their  "Measures to secure equipment and make permanent improvements" project.
April 16 – Transcontinental Inc.'s Chair of the Board, Isabelle Marcoux, was the recipient of the Mercure Leadership, Germaine-Gibra Award, Large company category, wich recognizes the exceptional contribution of influential businesswomen.
March 4 - Transcontinental Capri received its level 3 Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification, a globally recognized audit standard that is compliant with Global Food Safety Initiative - GFSI requirements, as established by the Safe Quality Food Institute.
February 3 - Donald Simard, MRO Procurement, Energy and Environment Director for TC Transcontinental Printing was awarded the distinguished Énergia trophy from the Quebec Association for Energy Advancement (AQME).

TC Transcontinental is pleased to announce it remains a constituent on the Jantzi Social Index  (JSI R), a socially screened, market capitalization-weighted common stock index modeled on the S&P/TSX 60. The JSI (R) consists of 50 Canadian companies that pass a set of broadly-based environmental, social, and governance rating criteria which include community involvement, employee relations and the environment. Transcontinental has held its position on the Jantzi Social Index (R) since March 2004.
