Idealist Capital
Mr. Yves Leduc has been a partner at Idealist Capital, a firm that invests growth capital in companies developing and commercializing climate technologies, since September 2022. From July 2023 to May 2024, Mr. Leduc was Co-President and Chief Operating Officer of one of Idealist Capital's portfolio companies, XNRGY Climatic Systems Inc., a pioneer in the design and manufacturing of energy‑efficient commercial HVAC systems. After building the Company's management team, appointing a successor, and laying the foundation for its growth, Mr. Leduc joined XNRGY's Board of Directors in May 2024, acting as a director representing Idealist Capital.
From 2015 to 2022, he was President and CEO of Velan Inc., a multinational industrial valve manufacturer. He also worked for nearly 16 years at BRP Inc., a company specialized in the design, development, production, distribution and marketing of motorized recreational vehicles and propulsion systems, where, since 2006, he served as Vice President and General Manager of North American operations and, from 2000 to 2006, Vice President and General Manager of the Austrian engine division. From 1994 to 1998, he worked for McKinsey & Company, a management and strategic consulting firm, as a management consultant, and from 1987 to 1994, as a lawyer with the law firm Stikeman Elliott LLP.
Mr. Leduc has been a member of the Orford Musique Board of Directors since 2015.
