Isabelle Marcoux has served as Chair of the Board of Transcontinental Inc. since February 2012 and was appointed Executive Chair of the Board in June 2023. She became Vice Chair of the Board in 2007, having previously served as Vice President, Corporate Development since 2004. In the latter role, she was responsible for the strategic planning process and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining the company in 1997, Ms. Marcoux was a lawyer at McCarthy Tétrault LLP.

As Executive Chair of the Board, Isabelle Marcoux oversees the company's strategy and development, as well as the Media sector. She is also a champion of various programs, including community involvement, diversity and inclusion, and corporate social responsibility. Since joining TC Transcontinental, she has played a key strategic role in the consolidation of the Canadian printing market, the Company's successful entry into the Packaging sector in 2014, and its growth through acquisitions in all three sectors: Packaging, Retail Services & Printing, and Media.

Since 2010, Isabelle Marcoux has been a member of Power Corporation of Canada's Board of Directors, sitting on the Governance and Nominating Committee, and previously on the Human Resources Committee. She has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Governance of Private and Public Organizations (IGOPP) since 2020, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Scale Al since 2020, and of the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation since 2006. She is also co-chair of the Cabinet for the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation's 2019-2026 fundraising campaign.

A woman of long-standing commitment, Ms. Marcoux served on the Rogers Communications Board of Directors from 2008 to 2021, notably as Chair of the Human Resources Committee and member of the Governance and Nominating Committee. From 2007 to 2019, she was also a member of the Board of Directors of George Weston Limited, acting as Chair of the Risk and Compliance Committee and, prior to that, as Chair of the Environment, Health and Safety Committee.

Ms. Marcoux has been actively involved with Centraide of Greater Montreal for some ten years. She chaired the Major Donors' Circle from 2018 to 2020, and has been the honorary president since 2021. In addition, she was co-chair of Centraide of Greater Montreal's 2016 campaign and co-chaired the 2015 Leaders' Circle campaign.

Numerous public recognitions highlight her deep philanthropic commitment, having co-chaired several fundraising events and participated in a number of major fundraising campaigns. For her dedication and tremendous compassion, Centraide honored her in 2024 with its highest distinction, awarding her the title of “Governor Emeritus”. This ultimate honor also follows the Michèle Thibodeau‑DeGuire Award, which the organization presented to her in 2021 in recognition of her unwavering commitment to various committees and fundraising campaigns. For its part, the Association des professionnels en philanthropie - Section du Québec presented her with the Prix Bénévole par excellence en philanthropie 2023 as part of National Philanthropy Day. Similarly, in 2018, Portage paid tribute to Ms. Marcoux at the Soirée des Grands Philanthropes, highlighting her exceptional community involvement.

Her rich and distinguished career has also been recognized many times over. In addition to the Order of Canada, which she was awarded in 2019 for her role in promoting diversity within the Québec business community and for her involvement in numerous fundraising campaigns, in 2024 Ms. Marcoux was named recipient of the prestigious Fellows Award from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD). This award and, subsequently, the one awarded to her as Honorary Member of ICD-Quebec, illustrate her outstanding contribution and leadership on the boards of Canadian companies and organizations over the years. In 2018, she joined the exclusive Entrepreneurs' Club of the Conseil du patronat du Québec. This coveted distinction recognizes her exceptional contribution to Québec's economic development. In 2017, she became the first Canadian to win the Visionary Award for Strategic Leadership from the global Women Corporate Directors Foundation (WCD), specifically in recognition of her proven leadership in making strategic decisions to ensure the long-term growth of the organization. Also in 2017, Ms. Marcoux was inducted into the Women's Executive Network (WXN) Hall of Fame, having been named one of Canada's 100 Most Influential Women by the organization in 2010, 2012 and 2016. In 2016, she received the Médaille de l'Assemblée nationale du Québec, in recognition of the fundamental role she plays on a daily basis within the community. In 2015, the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec presented her with the Mercure Leadership Germaine-Gibara award in the Large Business category, highlighting the exceptional contribution of a businesswoman who has demonstrated boldness and influence throughout her career and in her industry. In previous years, Ms. Marcoux has been recognized on several occasions, including in 2007, when she received Canada's Top 40 under 40™ award, a national program that honors 40 Canadians under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their roles.

Ms. Marcoux holds a bachelor's degree in political science and economics and a bachelor's degree in civil law, both from McGill University. She has been a member of the Québec Bar since 1995. She is the mother of two children, Jeanne and Philippe.
