Patrick Lutzy was named President of TC Media in 2019. In this role, he is responsible for directing the activities of the Books and Education group, including TC Media Books, Somabec, Éditions du renouveau pédagogique (ERPI) and Scolab, as well as those of Groupe Constructo. He is also a member of TC Transcontinental's Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee.

Patrick Lutzy joined TC Transcontinental in 2006 with the acquisition of Chenelière Éducation, North America's largest publisher of French-language educational resources. With his extensive experience in the publishing industry,
Mr. Lutzy was entrusted with a number of responsibilities from the outset. Within the Books and Education group, he successively held the positions of Vice President, Quebec School Division and Vice President, School Divisions for all of Canada, until his appointment as General Manager in 2016. Since then, and as President of the sector today, he has been responsible for the development and execution of the Books and Education group's growth strategy and diversification of its offering, as well as overseeing the definition and deployment of its digital strategy. Starting in 2018, Mr. Lutzy also played a key role in the acquisitions of Somabec, Scolab and ERPI, which have propelled the group to new heights. In addition, as part of his duties, he manages Groupe Constructo, the leader in strategic information for the construction industry in Québec. Mr. Lutzy is a determined, results-oriented leader who is highly respected and recognized in his industry, in which he has worked for over 25 years.

Prior to joining TC Transcontinental, Patrick Lutzy spent nearly 10 years working his way up through the ranks at Les Éditions CEC inc. (Quebecor) to the position of Vice President of Publishing. A lawyer and member of the Quebec Bar since 1992, he is a graduate of the Université de Montréal Law School. Committed to his community, he has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Fondation pour l’alphabétisation since 2019.
