Métro, more than ever Montrealers’ favourite weekday paper

Montreal, April 2, 2013 - Métro is more than ever the most widely read Monday-Friday paper on the Island of Montreal, well ahead of every other newspaper, according to results published on March 27, 2013 by NADbank (Newspaper Audience Databank). It is also the second most-read newspaper each week in the Greater Montreal area, with 812,900 readers.

"We are consolidating our position as the uncontested leader among Montreal's newspapers. We have in fact widened the gap between Métro and other newspapers, and on a weekly basis we now have 119,000 more readers than our closest competitor," said Daniel Barbeau, Publisher of the Métro newspaper in Montreal.

Not only that, Métro is consistently the most popular paper with young and active city dwellers. On a weekly basis, it is the most-read paper by young readers aged 18 - 34.
